The Diocesan Youth Committee, or DYC retreat, is hosted annually at Camp Mikells during the second weekend of January. This retreat is for youth in middle and high school. We have been intentional about focusing DYC to be more like a summer session at Camp Mikell during the winter. We even have Summer Staffers up to chaperone the weekend. The theme of DYC changes yearly, but it is always an exciting weekend that includes music, worship, afternoon activities, and all sorts of fun! Registration is available on the calendar page. You can find an event flyer on our event resources page.
DYC Participants The DYC Participants are the youth and chaperones that come up for the weekend from parishes all over the Diocese. Participants get to kick back and just enjoy the weekend.
DYC Staff The DYC Staff is a group of youth and adults that work together to design the weekend. All 10-12th grade youth are eligible to apply. Also, we now take a select number of young adult chaperones for the retreat. These are to be college students, or, if not in college, young adults who are at least 1 year removed from high school.
